Affordable EDM Inc. founded 1990 by Keary Ritchie. Prior to starting Affordable EDM Keary worked 10 years learning the Tool and Die trade from his Father and Mentor. In 1990 he found himself without a job, business was down. He knew he could hammer out a living if he could get his hands on a Wire EDM and continue with his Trade and passion for Metal Moving.
He was able to acquire his first Wire EDM from Mitsubishi by borrowing $10,000 on a credit card for the down payment.
The first machine payment was over $2000, more money than he made in a month working, it was a scary proposition.
Being unemployed and jobs being far and few between he seized the opportunity. Working 24/7 and for less than the competitions, surviving and flourish he did. Affordable EDM Inc. has come a long way from those humble beginnings.
